CHICKEN HAMBURGER HOME
It is usually said that the hamburger is fast food or, worse, junk food. I disagree with this term and say "there is no junk food if not, junk procedures". In my opinion a homemade chicken burger is anything but junk food. We know at all times what ingredients it has, we can customize them to our liking and ultimately ... It will be nothing more than minced meat in a bread. A delight for our senses. To prepare a standard chicken burger, we will need the following ingredients.
INGREDIENTS TO MAKE 4 HOME CHICKEN HAMBURGERS:
- 500g of minced chicken
- 4 hamburger buns
- 1 clove garlic
- 1/2 onion
- 1 teaspoon mustard
- 1 egg
- 25g of bread crumbs
- lettuce
- 1 tomato
- 4 slices of cheese
- salt and freshly ground black pepper
- Olive oil
RECIPE OF THE Chicken Hamburger at home
1.- Put the minced meat in a bowl and add an egg, the bread crumbs, the teaspoon of mustard that will enhance all the flavors, the garlic clove and the onion very well minced. These two ingredients will add a lot of flavor. I like how they look like, but if you do not want them to know so much, you can give them a simmer over a low heat for 5 minutes in a little trickle of oil and add them later. You can add some other spice to your liking, like oregano, thyme or rosemary. Once we have added all the ingredients, mix with your hands until you get a homogeneous paste
2.- We give shape to hamburgers. And for that, we make 4 balls of the same size with the whole mass. We crush each ball individually so that they remain with the characteristic oval shape of hamburger
3.- On a plate, put a small splash of olive oil to heat over a low heat and place the burgers on top. Remember that it is about making them grilled, not fried, which is why it uses very little oil. When cooked to taste, turn around and cook the other side. If we like little done, with one or two minutes for each side will be enough. If we want them well done, they will need around 5 minutes each side.
4.- Once cooked, remove and place on absorbent paper. During the first two minutes, the hamburgers will expel water and if we put them immediately in the bread, it will be soaked and will tend to destroy the bread, ruining the bread.
5.- Once all this is done, we just put the hamburger on the bread and finish dressing it to our liking, with lettuce, sliced tomato, onion cut into rings, cheese and ketchup, mayonnaise or mustard. You could also add a fried egg, ham and pickles. Imagination to power!
It's that easy to have these delicious homemade chicken burgers. Forget about fast food restaurants and "junk procedures" and prepare this delight in your own home!
