OVEN SARDINES WITH GARLIC AND PARSLEY

Sardines baked with garlic and parsley. Simply a marine delight. In this recipe, in addition to preparing this delicious fish, we will also see some tricks to make it more juicy and to reduce significantly the odors that it gives off in the kitchen. In addition, this is a very easy dish to prepare and not too expensive - few ingredients and all available to everyone. To prepare these baked sardines with garlic and parsley we will need these ingredients:

INGREDIENTS TO PREPARE SARDINES IN THE OVEN WITH GARLIC AND PARSLEY FOR 4 PEOPLE:

  • 1kg of sadinas
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • some leaves of parsley
  • 1 lemon
  • fine salt and fat salt
  • olive oil

RECIPE OF THE SARDINES TO THE OVEN WITH GARLIC AND PARSLEY:

1.- The most important thing is to choose the fish. Nothing to choose some sardines already filleted or frozen. They should be very fresh, whole, with a vivid color, with bright eyes and "stick to the eye".

2.- With them already at home, we do not have to clean them. It may be this weird but, made with the guts, it's like juiciest left. Without them, sardines tend to dry out in the oven. These, in addition, are very easy to remove.

3.- With all this cleared, we preheat the oven to 220ºC. While it is heated, in a mortar, we put the garlic, the parsley, a pinch of fine salt and a splash of a good olive oil. Crush all the ingredients until you get a delicious flavor.

4.- In a baking tray, we put a piece of vegetable paper, also known as baking paper. Over it, we put a thin layer of coarse salt and on it, the sardines. This trick, will reduce the strong odor that usually remains when roasting this fish, although it will not eliminate it completely. Done this, on the sardines, we can put the garlic and parsley sauce. Another option is to reserve it for the end and put it raw. This I leave to your choice. In any case, we put the sardines in the oven, already heated to 220ºC and roast them for about 15 minutes. Until they are cooked. Do not overcook or they will be very dry

5.- After the time, we remove the sardines from the oven and serve them on a plate. If you decided not to include the dough in the oven, now would be the time to add it. It will give a stronger touch to the preparation. Accompany with 1/4 lemon, so that the diner can add it to your liking

These baked sardines with garlic and parsley are very easy to make. In addition, with the trick of salt, although we will not completely eliminate all its smell, we will reduce it to a great extent!
